The Soldiers Project
The Soldiers Project is a private, nonprofit, independent group of volunteer licensed mental health professionals that provide free counseling and support to military service members who have served or who expect to serve in the Iraq and or Afghanistan conflicts and to veterans of these conflicts. In addition, the organization’s services are available to the families and other loved ones of these service members.
The mental health professionals who are part of The Soldiers Projects’ team include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, registered nurses and marriage and family counselors. The Soldier Projects’ services are readily available and entirely free of change. The organization does not report to any government agency.
In response to the need for its services, The Soldier Project has established affiliates in Sacramento, Seattle, Chicago, New York City, Long Island, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Wyoming.
