Roddenberry Prize
The Roddenberry Prize is a competition designed to discover and award innovative solutions to achieve the future that Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry imagined, full of optimism, driven by exploration and strengthened by diversity. Launched in 2016, the five best ideas for a boldly better future will be awarded a total of $1 million; one $400,000 grand prize and four $150,000 awards.
The Roddenberry Foundation, which administers the Prize, seeks bold solutions that are on the cusp of achieving scale. They may cover a range of topics and disciplines and will be evaluated on their potential for transformative and lasting impact, demonstration of a feasible and achievable path to implementation, and the boldness of their vision to benefit our shared future.
Who is eligible? Individuals, private companies, for profit social enterprises and nonprofit organizations are encouraged apply.
