About

Cheryl Saban, Ph.D., is a writer, social activist, psychologist, philanthropist, and a Presidential appointee as Special Public Delegate to the United Nations for the 67th General Assembly. She is a well-known advocate for women and children, and also actively supports pediatric medical research, educational sponsorship, mentoring, and affordable health care. 

Dr.Saban is the author of 14 books, including What is Your Self Worth? A Woman's Guide to Validation, and most recently, Soul Sisters, which examines the special relationship of girlfriends. A frequent speaker on women's issues, Dr. Saban advocates for women, children and socio-political issues on Twitter, and is a regular blogger for the HuffingtonPost.com and Intent.com.

In conjunction with the release of What is Your Self Worth? A Woman's Guide to Validation, Dr. Saban formed the nonprofit The Women's Self-Worth Foundation, and dedicated $10 million to the empowerment, well-being, education and healthcare of women and children both in the United States and abroad. To date, the foundation has granted or scheduled awards to: UN Women, Accion USA, Operation Homefront, the American Indian College Fund, Girls Inc., Girls Who Code, The Sherry Lansing Foundation's Encorps Teacher's STEM programs, Zahala Girls, The Cherie Blair Foundation, and The Barbra Streisand Women's Heart Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Saban is President of the Saban Family Foundation. In addition, she is on the board of trustees of Girls Inc., Children's Hospital Los Angeles, The Saban Research Institute and The Saban Free Clinic, among other organizations.
