The Center provides classes, initiatives and networking opportunities crucial in developing and maintaining nonprofit leadership and management skills at all levels of the organization.

Counseling
The Center counsels organizations experiencing change, including rebuilding boards, transitioning executives and restructuring.

Human Capital
The Center offers organizations resources to find qualified candidates, courses on overcoming personnel pitfalls and guidelines on industry compensation in Southern California.

Community
By serving hundreds of nonprofits every month, the Center provides a setting in which nonprofit professionals meet, share ideas and collaborate.

Capacity-Building Information Exchange
The Center for Nonprofit Management, Nonprofit Finance Fund, and the Taproot Foundation have partnered to develop a comprehensive Capacity-Building Information Exchange for Los Angeles. The grant will be used to develop a robust, coordinated Capacity-Building Information Exchange for the region in order to provide Los Angeles’ nonprofit organizations with the ability to effectively connect with appropriate, quality capacity-building services.

The Information Exchange will also serve as a regular forum for nonprofit organizations, capacity-builders and funders to plan and coordinate a capacity-building strategy that enables Los Angeles County’s nonprofit organizations to be well-led, sustainable and to ultimately achieve greater impact.

The planning grant is funded by the following nine foundations: Annenberg Foundation, California Community Foundation, First 5 LA, The California Endowment, The Durfee Foundation, The Eisner Foundation, The James Irvine Foundation, The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation, and Weingart Foundation.
